Sheep and goats, wheat and tares. Which are you?

Goats and Sheep, Wheat and Tares

The separation has begun, the goats and the sheep are being separated, the wheat and tares are being separated.

Matthew 13: 38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

And likewise, the sheep and goats are being separated:

Matthew 25: 32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world

A wise counselor in the Lord once spoke to me of this, the wheat and tares (sheep and goats) growing up together. He said sometimes they attend the same Church!

Now here is the miracle of Christ’s redemptive power: For yet a little while the goats/tares can repent, get earnest with the Lord and be transformed!

But time is short! The separation has already begun!

Now among the sheep are also ravenous wolves:

Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Acts 20:29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

Again, time is short!

The sheep already know who they are:

John 10:4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

What is it for you? Are you one of Christ’s sheep, or are you one of the goats to be cut from the herd?

Are you of the wheat, or are you one of the tares, to be separated?

Again time is short!

If you are not sure where you are with Jesus Christ, seek him with all of your heart, repent of what you know to be wrong in his sight and he will accept you!

The door is closing!

The door is getting ready to close!

In Noah’s day after they had gathered on the ark:

Genesis 7:16 16 And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the Lord shut him in.

In Abraham and Lot’s day, Abraham asked the Lord in Genesis 18: 23  “Will you sweep away the righteous with the wicked?
When destruction was imminent, Genesis 19: 15 With the coming of dawn, the angels urged Lot, saying, “Hurry! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, or you will be swept away when the city is punished.”

16 When he hesitated, the men grasped his hand and the hands of his wife and of his two daughters and led them safely out of the city, for the Lord was merciful to them.

In Jesus’s parable of the 5 wise and the 5 foolish virgins: 10 “But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.
11 “Later the others also came. ‘Lord, Lord,’ they said, ‘open the door for us!’
12 “But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’
13 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.

The proper question is not do YOU know about the Lord?

The proper question is: does the Lord know you? Have you done everything you know to do to prepare your heart to meet the Lord? Or are you going about your daily activities with no thought of the Lord or what you can be doing to further his kingdom? The door of opportunity is getting ready to close on the Church age and when it shuts there will be weeping and wailing outside the door, saying please let me in! And the Lord will reply: ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’

Prepare your heart to meet Jesus Christ, repent of your sins and do what you know to be right!

37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.

The door is beginning to close, are you where you need to be with the Lord Jesus Christ?
