Many are called few are chosen
Matthew 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.
I’ve pondered this verse many times over the years trying to figure out what the Lord was getting at when he spoke it. How can many be called, yet only a few be chosen. One day while seeking the Lord I was studying this verse and asked again, what does it mean. In my heart was spoken this:
“Many hear the call, few indeed seek with all.”
Are we indeed seeking the Lord “with all”? Are we giving him our whole heart, giving him our best?
Luke 9:62 And Jesus said unto him, “No man, having put his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for the Kingdom of God.”
Revelation 3:15-17
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
